Ayurveda
Ayurveda is an ancient system of traditional medicine that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It is considered one of the oldest holistic healing systems in the world and continues to be practiced and valued in both India and other parts of the world today. The word "Ayurveda" is derived from Sanskrit and translates to "the science of life" ("Ayur" means life, and "Veda" means science).
Central Principles of Ayurveda:
Holistic Approach: Ayurveda views the human body as an interconnected whole, encompassing the body, mind, and spirit. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between these elements to achieve overall health and well-being.

Health is believed to be maintained when the doshas are in balance, and illness arises when there is an imbalance.
Prakriti and Vikriti: Prakriti refers to an individual's inherent constitution, which is determined at birth. Vikriti, on the other hand, represents the current state of imbalance or disease that an individual may experience.
Treatment Approaches: Ayurveda uses a combination of lifestyle practices, diet, herbal medicine, yoga, meditation, massage, and other therapies to restore balance and promote health. The treatments are personalized according to a person's unique constitution and the specific imbalances they are experiencing.
Preventive Healthcare: Ayurveda places significant emphasis on preventive healthcare by promoting healthy daily routines, seasonal practices, and lifestyle habits that help maintain balance and prevent illness.
Use of Herbal Remedies: Ayurvedic practitioners often use a wide range of medicinal herbs and natural substances to address various health conditions and support the body's healing processes.
Mind-Body Connection: Ayurveda recognizes the profound influence of the mind on physical health and vice versa. Emotional and mental well-being are considered integral to overall health.
